How can I tell the difference between Authentic Kente Cloth and Kente imitation?
Authentic Kente is alway handwoven in strips which are then joined together to produce full length cloths. Kente imitation is a printed cloth, replicating the design/ pattern of Kente designs. Therefore all printed Kente cloths are imitations and are considered fake.
What is the difference between Stripe Kente and Traditional Kente Stoles?
Stripe Kente Stoles are also authentic Kente cloths as they are a handwoven variation of the traditional Ahwepan weave design. For the stripe Kente stoles, the entire cloth is woven with the Ahwepan weave structure. Here at Kente Kingdom, our traditional Kente cloths are simply classed by the commonly woven traditional designs which typically, are a combination of the Ahwepan and Adweneasan designs. Colours can vary.
Do you sell full length Kente Cloths?
Yes. We offer an extensive range of handwoven Kente Cloths and Kente stoles ethically sourced from Ghana. Our cloth production and Atelier service - COMMISSIONED, is designed to give you direct access to full cloths/ sets, where you can pre-order any design of choice. Do you offer an individual customised Kente service?
Our newly launched cloth production service is uniquely designed to give you just that. If you require customised Kente designs & colours for weddings, graduations and special occasions, please visit the COMMISSIONED page and complete an order form.
How much is my delivery?
For our Ready-To-Wear range, we now offer FREE standard delivery for all orders to the United Kingdom, tracked via Royal Mail delivery services. At just £9.99, our express delivery service means you can now have your items within 2 working days for orders placed before 12pm (GMT/ BST, UK addresses only). There is a standard delivery fee of £14.99 for all international deliveries. Custom fees may apply. For more information about our delivery service, please click here.
Delivery for commissioned cloths are determined by quantity, delivery location and dates as specified by our clients.
When will I get my order?
Standard orders to the UK are shipped within 2 working days and are typically delivered in 3-5 business days. Express delivery is dispatched immediately with an estimated delivery of 1-2 working days. All orders outside the UK are dispatched within 2-5 working days and can take up to 14 working days for delivery, depending on your country's postal services and operational systems.
For custom cloth productions, please allow a minimum of 4 to 6 weeks for delivery from date of order.
What about Customs Charges?
Please be advised that as the recipient of the order, you may be required to pay import duties and taxes (additionally), in order to release your order from customs. We are unable to advise on the exact amount as this varies from country to country. We recommend you contact your local customs office/ tax authority for further details.
What happens if I don't receive my order?
If you have not received your order within your estimated delivery time, please contact us via the contact form below and state your order reference number, where we can provide an update on your order status. If your item is lost, we may provide you with a refund or send out a replacement (Terms and Conditions apply).
What if my item is damaged or I have changed my mind?
If you change your mind about your order, please contact us and we will be happy to help. Items must be in its original state/ packaging and must be posted back within 14 days of receipt. If your items are damaged on arrival, do let us know immediately and we may issue a full refund, or send out a replacement. Refunds and exchange requests may not be accepted outside the 14 days window.
Please note that all custom-made cloths under the COMMISSIONED Atelier service are final as this a bespoke service rendered according to specific client instructions. All payments are non refundable where a service has been rendered and/ or at production stage. (Terms and conditions apply).
What happens if some of my items are missing?
Items can be split across different shipments if you have made multiple orders within a short period of time. We will always provide you with shipping and tracking details for all orders so you can check your delivery journey and updates regularly. If you require further assistance, please`do not hesitate to get in touch.
